I just got a couple new videos; Garibaldi, Weckl's...and Frank Briggs. This guy is awesome--a human drum machine. Amazing technique. He can play so many different patterns it's ridiculous. I was totally impressed with his playing and ability.

Anybody else seen ol' Frank?

Great drummer, good friend of mine. Teaches in N Hollywood. Amazing single foot action he has. Did you get the DVD? He remastered the video himself into DVD adding extra footage and taking out all the BS effects that were added on the original video, he had nothing to do with it.

Frank is a real nice guy. I've had the pleasure of sharing e-mails with him a few times. I hated to effects but the material was top notch. I'd like to see the DVD.

Funny you mention the "Effects" A HUGE pet-peeve of mine w/instructional videos. Give me drums and leave all the technical mumbo-jumbo at home! When will we get a drummer who is a producer!

I have the video and didn't know it was made into a DVD. This is the best video I've seen that covers rudiments and patterns from a drummer. Frank leaves out "Frank" and plays the material to perfection. He does solo and it is very good. The guy is a human drum pattern machine--so impressive just from a disciplined point-of-view. He also has a great drum sound as well.

The DVD is 10 times better than the video, Frank remixed all the music and sounds and added additional footage. He had nothing to do with the post production on the video but was able to get all the raw footage and redo everything.
